

Metroid Prime Remastered is a project created by Samus Prime for the Metroid community. SP started the project in March of 2018 and since has done a lot to upgrade the visual fidelity of the game. MPR is a mod created with a combination of Ishiiruka Dolphin, Reshade and custom HD textures created by Samus Prime and Team MPR. Since there have been no changes made to the code of the game, this project falls under emulation law. Emulators aren't illegal which is why we chose to use emulation since it doesn't violate copyright law.
In July of 2018 game developer and Youtuber Glitch Gaming joined the MPR project. Glitch is highly skilled in game development using the Unreal 4 engine and has extensive knowledge of modern software and techniques. Glitch is going to be adding specular and bump maps to the project which will give the game an even more modern look. 2018 all saw the additions of Mr. Mendelli and Phazon Madness and Rizza D Marco (RDM) to Team MPR. They bring an amazing set of programming, administrative and texture design skills to the team and have helped to push the project to another level of quality. 2020 is going to be a big year for the project as the team looks forward to publishing the first Beta of the mod.
This is an intensive project and requires a lot of work. We will be choosing which textures we think make the biggest impact on the games graphics and doing those first. Make sure you sign up to our mailing list to be notified when the mod is finished.
